Man charged with assaulting deputy

UNION COUNTY — A Buffalo resident faces several charges, including assaulting a deputy while attempting to resist arrest.

Adam Wayne Fisher, 27, of 317 Linersville Road, Buffalo, was charged with petit larceny, aggravated assault and resisting arrest around 7:10 p.m. June 28.

According to incident reports, deputies were attempting to arrest Fisher for outstanding warrants on Tuesday. Reports state Fisher stole a woman’s personal check and driver’s license.

The report states Fisher was placed in handcuffs and then resisted, striking a deputy in the face and breaking the deputy’s glasses. Fisher was able to flee into nearby woods, but was found after Sheriff David Taylor and a K-9 unit responded.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office also reported the following arrests:

— Kevin Wayne Haney, 28, of 820 Flat Drive, Buffalo, was charged with breach of peace around 4:29 a.m. June 27.

— Rebecca Nance Sweezy, 36, of 1223 Arthur Blvd., Union, was charged with hindering law enforcement around 9:02 p.m. June 30.

— Edward Matthew Sweezy, 35, of 1223 Arthur Blvd., Union, was charged with malicious damage to real property around 9:24 p.m. June 30. According to the incident report, Sweezy attempted to pull up a stop sign, but left it bent and lying on the ground.

— Zachary Tyler Braxton, 18, of 108 Longview Heights, Union, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor around 11:32 p.m. June 29.

— Robert Darryl Nipper, 51, of 2440 Mt. Lebanon Road, Buffalo, was charged with disorderly conduct around 9:40 p.m. June 28.

— Joseph Demetrius Jennings, 32, of 115 Brown Street, Union, was charged with driving under suspension and possession of a controlled substance around 3 a.m. June 28.

— Brittany Ann Gregory, 25, of 3446 Lockhart Hwy., Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 5:42 p.m. June 26.

— Andrew Lee Epps, 31, of 105 Harvey Lane, Union, was charged with malicious damage to property, use of vehicle without consent, driving under suspension, and habitual traffic offense around 2:31 p.m. June 26.

— Jermaine Deonte Lindsay, 20, of 111 Lakeside Drive, Union, was charged with third-degree domestic violence and reckless driving around 4:10 a.m. June 26. According to the arrest warrant, Lindsay grabbed a woman pushing her head against a wall, after following the woman and her friend in his vehicle, attempting to run their vehicle off the road.

— Michael Cleveland Trantham, 30, of 126 Lancaster Road, Jonesville, was charged with possession with intent to distribute meth around 4 a.m. June 25.

— Aaron Lee Depratter, 27, of 144 Haney Road, Buffalo, was charged with driving under suspension around 4:15 a.m. June 25.

— Jessie James Hardy Jr., 65, of 1235 South Duncan Bypass, Union, was charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine around 1:45 a.m. June 25.

— Jeffery Daryl Goldman, 45, of 1758 Mt. Tabor Church Road, Union, was charged with burglary and third-degree assault and battery around 4:36 p.m. June 24. According to the incident report, Goldman entered a neighbor’s house uninvited and assaulted him by throwing scissors at him, striking him in the shoulder/chest, and striking him in the right arm with a rocking chair.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:

— Miles Draughn Williams, 53, of 1108 North Pinckney Street, Union, was charged with petit larceny around 11:30 a.m. June 30. According to the arrest warrant, Williams took a wallet belonging to another man while at Dollar Tree, located at 317 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Union.

— Cody Anthony Adams, 28, of 2333 Hwy. 64 East, Asheville, N.C., was charged with disregarding traffic control and no South Carolina driver’s license around 1:09 a.m. July 1.

— Lorie Elizabeth McBride, 37, of 334 Bobby Faucette Road, Jonesville, was charged with shoplifting around 2:06 a.m. July 1. According to the incident report, McBride took a spin toothbrush from Walmart in Union by removing the brush from its package and concealing it on her person.

— Carlie Jane Cook, 19, of 216 Raymond Road, Union, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia around 12:17 a.m. July 1.

— Markeisha Shunice Miller, 39, of 525 Lovers Lane Road, Union, was charged with simple possession of marijuana around 10:48 p.m. June 30.

— Paul Michael Maness, 54, of 407 South Boyce Street, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 9:27 p.m. June 29.

— Kimberly Michelle Dawkins, 40, of 100 Tiger Court, Union, was charged with financial card fraud around 12:09 p.m. June 29. According to the arrest warrant, Dawkins used someone else’s Wells Fargo debit card at the Wells Fargo ATM, located at 200 East Main Street, Union, a total of 12 times between May 9-11.

— Danny Ray Davis, 39, of 735 Fairwood Drive, Spartanburg, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana around 2:30 p.m. June 29.

— Donna Gail Knott, 47, of 286 Marshal Road, Clinton, was charged with shoplifting around 9:22 a.m. June 28. According to the arrest warrant, Knott took merchandise from Paradise Home Center in Union.

— Jonathan Scott Pettie, 33, of 1101 Arthur Blvd., Union, was charged with assault around 5:10 p.m. June 27. According to the incident report, Pettie threw a can through the back sliding window of a truck, striking a woman. The report states Pettie then ran to the vehicle, grabbed the woman, and struck her in the side of the head.

— Pamela Dale Morgan, 43, of 113 Magnolia Circle, Union, was charged with three counts of breaking into a motor vehicles, three counts of petit larceny, and financial transaction card theft around 12:05 p.m. June 24.

— Orsby Kinard Herndon, 36, of 59 Morris Lane, Winnsboro, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under suspension, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and open container around 2 a.m. June 26.

— Barbara Lenora James Richards, 48, of 89 Mickey Road, Winnsoboro, was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine around 1:21 a.m. June 26.
