Taskforce makes multiple arrests


Suspects facing drug, gambling, traffic charges

UNION COUNTY — Three investigations by the Union County Drug Taskforce that took place on a single day resulted in the arrest of a total of five people on drug, gambling, and traffic violation charges.

In a statement released this afternoon, Union County Sheriff David Taylor announced that the following individuals have been arrested and charged by his office:

Jared Kyle Harvey, 26, 2177 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Buffalo, distribution of Marijuana and distribution of Marijuana within 1/2 mile of a school or park. Harvey was also arrested on a Family Court Bench Warrant.

Ashley Marie Newton, 31, 308 Robin Hood Circle, Union, distribution of Marijuana and distribution of Marijuana within 1/2 mile of a school or park

J. Roland Sullivan, III, 33, 140 Captain Circle, Greenville, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, driving under suspension second offense, and failure to stop for a blue light.

Marcus Lashawn Lee, 32, 401 Boyd Street, Fountain Inn, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

Jerome Antonio Tribble, 33, 103 Comanche Drive, Gray Court, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of ball tickets, and failure to stop for blue light.

Taylor said that the arrests were the result of three separate investigations that began on Tuesday and resulted in all five suspects being arrested that same day.
