UNION — For the fourth time in a little over a month a Buffalo man has been arrested after being accused of sexually abusing a child in the 1980s.
In a statement released Thursday afternoon Union County Sheriff David Taylor announced that James Craig McMillian, 62, 1249 Linersville Road, Buffalo, had been arrested again for a committing a lewd act on a child under the age of 14. Taylor said the female victim came to the Sheriff’s Office and stated that when she was approximately 13 years of age, McMillian grabbed her in a sexual way and did so for his own personal gratification. He said that the victim is currently 46 years old and this incident occurred approximately 33 years ago.
Taylor said this is the fourth known victim to make similar allegations against McMillian. He said that McMillian was previously arrested on March 22 on similar charges involving three separate victims.
McMillian was released on bond on those charges and Taylor said he was scheduled to face a bond hearing at the Union County Jail on the latest charge against him.
Taylor said there still may be more victims that have not come forward and said that if there are he encourages them to please contact the Union County Sheriff’s Office. He said the case is still open in the event that there are other victims to come forward in the matter.
