Crime Report


The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

— Donovan Lee Robinson, 28, of 346 Pineneedle Road, Union, was charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature around 9:30 a.m. March 31. According to the incident report, Robinson punched and kicked a woman about the head and body; choked her to the point of nearly passing out; and poured a bottle of cleaning solvent on her and in her mouth while at an address on Wildlife Drive in Union.

— Randy Joe Gay, 61, of 555 Lemonade Road, Pacolet, was charged with domestic violence around 7:10 p.m. March 31. According to the incident report, Gay hit a woman in the throat, knocking her into a table, during an argument at his residence.

— Jaran Harris, 28, of 202 Buffalo Street, Buffalo, was charged with failing to change his address as a sex offender around noon March 31.

— Natasha Elaine Thomas, 33, of 106 Kissy Creek Circle, Union, was charged with hindering an officer around 5:10 p.m. March 31. According to the incident report, when officers attempted to serve a warrant on a subject, Thomas claimed she had not seen the subject. The report states officers later found the subject at Knight’s Inn in Union, and it was determined that Thomas drove the subject there and rented the room in her name.

— Joshua Elijah Falls, 29, of 280 Cudd Lane, Union, was charged with first-degree domestic violence around 12:55 p.m. March 28.

— Shekelia Latoya Porter, 35, of 123 Short Street, Union, was charged with shoplifting around 7:20 p.m. March 28. According to the incident report, Porter stole several items from Dollar General, located 821 Main Street, Buffalo.

— Dana Renee Auton, 50, of 170 Short Street, Union, was charged with shoplifting around 9;47 p.m. March 28. According to the incident report, Auton stole several items from Dollar General, located 821 Main Street, Buffalo.

— Robert Jason Waddell, 32, of 111 Haywood Street, Buffalo, was charged with petit larceny and burglary around 3:25 a.m. March 25. According to the incident report, Waddell took a handgun valued at $400 from his father’s residence.

— Christopher Robert Williams, 42, of 113 South 1st Street, Lockhart, was charged with possession with intent to distribute meth, simple possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Jennifer Lori T. Simpson, 35, of 3261 Skyline Road, Rock Hill, was charged with shoplifting, giving false information, driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of prescription drugs and ABC violation of a broken seal around 6 p.m. March 25.

— Eric Louis Newton, 36, of 926 Main Street, Buffalo, was charged with domestic violence around 8:44 p.m. March 25. According to the incident report, Newton pushed and pulled an a woman’s arm, causing bruising, during an argument which took place on Smith Road in Buffalo.

— Jeffery Paul Bolick, 49, of 250 Haywood Street, Buffalo, was charged with second-degree domestic violence around 10:15 a.m. March 27. According to the incident report, Bolick began physically fighting with a woman at his residence, and officers determined he was the primary aggressor. The report states the woman had numerous visible marks from the fight and suffered a broken pinky finger.

— DeAngelo Devante Simmons, 19, of 1208 Linersville Road, Buffalo, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana around 7 p.m. March 27.

— Arsgius Jertron Workman, 19, of 617 Lakeview Heights, Union, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana around 7:15 p.m. March 27.

— Bryan Savage Jr., 18, of 720 Lakeside Drive, Union, was charged with possession withintent to distribute marijuana around 7:36 p.m. March 27.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

— The owner of a residence on South 7th Street, Lockhart, reported on March 31 that the residence had been burglarized some time within the past month. She reported that a toilet and windows had been destroyed, with damages estimated at $1,000. Missing items included three electrical outlets, a queen-size bed, an Amish heater, a fish tank, a screen door and two wooden end tables. Missing items were valued at a total of $960.

— A resident of South 3rd Street, Lockhart, reported on March 30 that a 17-foot multi-functional ladder was stolen from underneath his shed in his back yard. He valued the ladder at $150.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:

— Ladarius Trevon Spears, 17, of 205 Foster Street, Union, was charged with two counts of armed robbery around 11:30 p.m. March 31. According to arrest warrants, Spears was an active participant along with Devon Chavious in robbing a juvenile and a man at gunpoint of two hoverboards, a necklace, and a smart watch on Columbus Street, Union.

— Devon Lamont Chavious, 26, of 203 Gault Ave., Union, was charged with two counts of armed robbery around 11:11 p.m. March 24. According to arrest warrants, Chavious pointed a handgun at a man and a juvenile, demanding a necklace, hoverboard and smart watch from the man and a hoverboard from the juvenile. The incident report states Chavious eventually struck the man in the head with the handgun, knocking off his glasses. The stolen items were valued at a total of $2,220.

— Calvin Lamont Rice, 41, of 101 Cornwell Street, Union, was charged with forgery around 3 p.m. March 31. According to the arrest warrant, Rice forged a check in the amount of $2,360 to Dixie Curb Market between Nov. 1-5.

— Marquise Asante Browning, 17, of 125 Kaitlynns Way Road, Buffalo, was charged with disorderly conduct around 4:20 p.m. March 30.

— Steven Gage Austin, 17, of 520 Strother Road, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 4:05 p.m. March 30.

— Jessica Elizabeth Sowers, 18, of 117 College Street, Union, was charged with shoplifting around 10:52 a.m. March 30. According to the incident report, Sowers took a Plan B One Step — valued at $49.99 — from CVS Pharmacy, located at 101 South Boyce Street, Union.

— Jamal Mikia Bishop, 32, of 194 Peacewood Drive, Union, was charged with trespassing after notice around 10:25 p.m. March 30.

— Presley Rhae Keisler, 23, of 113 Malone Ave., Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 2:30 p.m. March 24.

— Richard O’Bryant Brandon, 30, of 105 McBeth Street, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 9:06 p.m. March 27.

— Harold Dean Sinclair III, 23, of 302 Spring Street, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 10:30 p.m. March 25.

— Wayneisha Deann Smith, 23, of 213 May Street, Union, was charged with petit larceny around 6:20 p.m. March 27. The arrest warrant states Smith picked up a cigarette pack containing $1,951 belonging to a man and ran out of an apartment while at an address on Lakeside Drive in Union on March 13.

— Jamie Eugene Brown, 28, of 634 Riley Road, Buffalo, was charged with failure to stop for a blue light, driving under suspension, driving without lights, child restraint violation and child endangerment around 11:44 p.m. March 26.

— James Christopher Farr, 34, of 303 North Evans Street, Union, was charged with simple possession of marijuana around 6:22 p.m. March 25.

— Victor De Aundre Hair, 22, of 523 Green Acres Road, Silverstreet, was charged with disorderly conduct around 1:30 p.m. March 27.

— Tammy Jean Marler, 43, of 144 Gist Quarters Road, Union, was charged with failure to stop for a blue light and driving under suspension around 7:30 p.m. March 25.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following incidents:

— Officers responded to a structure fire at 101 3rd Ave., Union, around 3:30 a.m. March 25. The incident report states officers noticed the siding burned off the right side of the residence could smell some type of fuel. The report said the fire was out when officers and firefighters arrived, but smoke was still coming from the siding. The fire was discovered by the residents of the home, who called 911.
