Crime Reports


The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

— Alesha Denee Gossett, 34, of 104 Hunters Run Road, Union, was charged with breach of peace around 1:35 p.m. March 23. According to the incident report, Gossett pulled her vehicle to the roadway, rolled down her windows, and played obscene music with the volume turned loud for about 10 minutes in order to disturb another woman.

— Johnny Carroll Roller, 48, of 68 Veterans Lane, Whitmire, was charged with possession of a controlled substance around 10:35 p.m. March 23. According to the incident report, Roller was seen by officers at a location on South Duncan Bypass, Union, and “appeared to have conducted a drug transaction with another male subject.” The officer began a field interview, and asked the subject if there were any drugs in the room. The report states Roller then picked up a pill off the nightstand and consumed it. The report states Roller did not have a prescription.

— Jonathan Maurice Collins, 23, of 113 Windy Hill Road, Union, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana around 3:15 p.m. March 23.

— Jeremy Blake O’Shields, 29, of 208 Haney Cemetery Road, Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence around 10:45 a.m. March 22. According to the incident report, officers responded to an address on Kelly Road, Union, in reference to a female who had been assaulted by O’Shields. The report states the female was taken to the ER for treatment.

— Johnny Melton Gregory, 53, of 317 Askew Circle, Union, was charged with driving under suspension, unlawful stopping in the roadway and habitual traffic offense around 9:35 p.m. March 22.

— Robbie Dean Phillips, 36, of 181 Hill Top View, Union, was charged with driving under suspension around 9:53 p.m. March 22.

— Dustin Lee Arrington, 28, of 1002 Old Anderson Mill Road, Moore, was charged with breach of trust around 9 a.m. March 22. According to the incident report, a Buffalo resident gave Arrington $1,500 to purchase a car for her in Myrtle Beach, and Arrington took the car back to his residence in Spartanburg. The victim contacted the seller of the car, who told her it was junk and that he sold it to Arrington for $200. The victim went to Arrington’s house, and she stated the car was in several pieces under Arrington’s carport. Arrington refused to give the money back but gave the victim an open title to the vehicle.

— Preston Recardo Beaty, 28, of 114 Sunset Lane, Union, was charged with grand larceny around 10:30 a.m. March 21. According tot he incident report, Beaty had not paid rent in a few months, and the landlord found he had moved out of the residence and took a washer and dryer, riding lawnmower, a push mower and a hedge trimmer. The complainant valued the damage and items removed at $2,750.

— Steven Lamar Burkhalter, 52, of 118 Kissy Creek Circle, Union, was charged with breach of peace around 11:20 a.m. March 21. According to the incident report, Burkhalter caused a disturbance during an argument which took place on Kissy Creek Circle in Union.

— Scott Charles Darling Jr., 27, of 925 Meansville Road, Union, was charged with driving under suspension and speeding around 1:35 a.m. March 21.

— Matthew Paul Ferguson, 31, of 692 Earls Bridge Road, Easley, was charged with second-degree domestic violence around 12:48 a.m. March 20. According to the incident report, Ferguson pulled a woman’s hair and struck her about the face during an argument regarding text messages he had left on the woman’s phone.

— Charles Lee Thomason, 42, of 5156 Cabal Road, Chester, was charged with failure to stop for a blue light and driving under suspension around 5:10 p.m. March 18. According to the incident report, Thomason refused to stop for officers’ blue lights, and officers noticed he was continuously drinking from a cup. The report states Thomason eventually stopped on Mill Street, Lockhart, and he said he was a diabetic and was thirsty. The report then states after several minutes of questioning, Thomason admitted he had ingested a plastic bag containing methamphetamine.

— Bradley Aaron Mobley, 28, of 3207 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence around 12:25 p.m. March 19. According to the incident report, Mobley assaulted a woman by pushing her down, punching her with a closed fist and dragging her, causing visible injuries to her lower back and buttocks.

— Kimberly Michelle Welch, 38, and Gregory Alexander Welch, 19, both of 241 Haas Street, Union, were each charged with giving false information around 4 a.m. March 19.

— Jason Carroll Austin, 41, of 114 Culbreath Heights, Union, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of marijuana around 1:47 a.m. March 20.

— Victoria Michelle Trantham, 25, of 254 Bagwill Drive, Pauline, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia around 4:01 a.m. March 20.

— Rico Martez Harrington, 24, of 110 Sardis Road, Union, was charged with grand larceny around 10:45 a.m. March 20. According to the incident report, Harrington took a woman’s car from her residence after she told him not to leave the residence with it.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

— The owner of a residence on Lawbaw Road, Carlisle, reported on March 18 that the residence had been burglarized. The complainant stated he found the front door open and a back window broken, and he stated two TVs — a 47-inch Samsung and a 30-inch Samsung — and a Remington 12-gauge shotgun were missing. The complainant stated the burglary happened between March 13-18. Missing items are valued at a total of $2,050.

— A local resident reported on March 18 that a man stole his iPhone. The complainant said he had chatted online with a man at adam4adam.com, and the man picked him up and took him to a local motel on Fairwood Blvd. The complainant stated the man threw him on the bed and took his phone. The phone is valued at $362.

— A resident of Haywood Street, Buffalo, reported on March 19 that someone had put dirt and rocks in the gas tank of her vehicle. Photos were taken of the damage, which was estimated at $100.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:

— Tuesday Nicole Hill, 38, of 100 Morris Circle, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct on March 22. According to the arrest warrant, Hill was loud and boisterous while at an address on Thomas Street, Union, on March 21.

— Moneshia Denee Tucker, 17, of 311 North Boyce Street, Union, was charged with third-degree assault and battery around 11 a.m. March 22. According to the arrest warrant, Tucker — a student at Union County High School — made a verbal threat to do harm to a teacher at the school on March 18.

— Amber Rana Turner, 17, of 119 Muriel Drive, Jonesville, was charged with shoplifting around 8:21 a.m. March 21. According to the arrest warrant, Turner took several cosmetics items from Walmart, located at 513 North Duncan Bypass, Union, on March 15.

— Ashley Nicole Turner, 21, of 119 Muriel Drive, Jonesville, was charged with shoplifting around 7:44 a.m. March 21. According to the arrest warrant, Turner took several cosmetics items from Walmart, located at 513 North Duncan Bypass, Union, on March 15.

— Brandon Wayne Hembree, 28, of 505 Meansville Road, Union, was charged with shoplifting, trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia around 6 p.m. March 19. According to the arrest warrants, Hembree had 12 alprazolam pills in his possession at Wal-Mart, located at 513 North Duncan Bypass, Union, from which he was already placed on trespass notice. Warrants also state Hembree took three trees and a bag of potting soil from the store.

— Crystal Yvette Jones, 49, of 202 Lawson Ave., Union, was charged with driving under the influence around 3:39 a.m. March 19.

— Lorenzo Montell Sibert, 20, of Keenan Ave., Union, was charged with assault and battery around 1:05 p.m. March 18. According to the arrest warrant, Sibert hit a man in the right side of the face with his fist during an argument on March 18 at an address on Keenan Ave., Union.

— Kenneth Roger Jeter, 27, of 208 Hamlet Street, Union, was charged with second-degree burglary around 7:15 p.m. March 18. According to the arrest warrant, Jeter entered a woman’s dwelling through window without her permission, causing her to fear for her safety.

— Devon James Morris, 17, of 149 Stevens Road, Union, was charged with assault and battery around 11:30 p.m. March 18. According to the arrest warrant, struck someone in the back of the head with a book at Union County High School.

— Brandi Julieann Northern, 38, of 104 Carem Road, Union, was charged with financial transaction fraud around 4:15 p.m. March 20. According to the arrest warrant, Northern attempted to use someone else’s card number without his permission.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following incidents:

— The owner of an abandoned residence on Arthur Blvd., Union, reported on March 23 that someone had broken into the residence. Officers noticed a brick object on the floor which was used to break a glass window. The complainant stated nothing had been taken from the house. The complainant was advised to board up the windows while no one is living at the residence and to put up “no trespassing” signs around the residence.

— Officers responded to an address on Callihan Road, Union, in reference to the vandalism of a vehicle. The complainant stated the vehicle was vandalized between 12:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. The incident report states the vehicle had scratches all over it.
