The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Dylan Thomas Sellers, 18, and Jessica Elizabeth Gardler, 22, both of 181 Pine Street, Buffalo, were each charged with two counts of shoplifting around 8:30 p.m. June 26. According to the incident report, items taken from Walmart in Union included batteries and fishing equipment valued at a total of $1,900.
— Caleb Hendrix Roberts, 28, of 312 Bailey Road, Buffalo, was charged with malicious damage to property, first-degree burglary, shoplifting and resisting arrest around 10:50 a.m. June 29. According to the incident report, Roberts was approached by officers at Dollar General, located at 821 Main Street, Buffalo, and he attempted to flee to the back of the store, throwing merchandise that he had concealed in his pants pockets. The report also states Roberts continued to try to get away while officers handcuffed him. Roberts had an outstanding warrant for burglary and took four packs of Dollar General brand batteries — valued at $10 — from the store.
— Kip Alan Fleming, 31, of 144 Morning Side Drive, Union, was charged with breach of peace around 11:20 p.m. June 29.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Anthony Lawson Painter, 55, of 1601 Whitmire Hwy., Union, was charged with driving under the influence around 11:52 p.m. June 29.
— Candas Melissa Adams, 54, of 207 Erwin Ave., Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 4:10 p.m. June 28. According to the arrest warrant, Adams threatened a woman using loud and profane language while at an address on South Street, Union.
— Quenterous Dominique Jeter, 19, of 101 C Street, Jonesville, was charged with trespassing after notice around 11:15 a.m. June 26.
— John Earl Turner, 49, of 525 Kelly Road, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 6:40 p.m. June 28.
— Dennis Earl Byrd, 32, of 108 Harris Road, Union, was charged with trespass after notice, resisting arrest and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon around 10:45 p.m. June 25. According to arrest warrants, Byrd lowered his shoulder and struck an officer in the chest, knocking him off his feet. Warrants also state Byrd had a black .32 caliber revolver with a black taped handle in his possession.
— Ricki Danielle Escalante, 29, of 106 Haskell Street, Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence-simple assault around 2:23 p.m. June 28. According to the incident report, Escalante engaged in a fight with a man inside of a vehicle while at Murphy’s USA in Union.
