WHITMIRE — The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported four people were arrested after deputies found components of a meth lab and methamphetamine waste inside a Whitmire residence.

The UCSO reported the following arrests:

— Donald Wayne Alexander, 34, of 532 Eaves Road, Whitmire, was charged with attempt to manufacture methamphetamine and disposal of meth waste around 1:33 a.m. Dec. 8.

— Bradley Scott Breakfield, 24, of 259 Eaves Road, Union, was charged with attempt to manufacture methamphetamine and disposal of meth waste around 2:02 a.m. Dec. 8.

— Brian William Lee, 41, of 1305 Washington Street, Newberry, was charged with possession of meth around 4:24 a.m. Dec. 8.

— Miriam Elise Holden, 24, of 267 Eaves Road, Whitmire, was charged with disposal of meth waste around 3:41 a.m. Dec. 8.

According to the incident report, officers conducted a welfare check in reference to drug activity at an address on Eaves Road, Whitmire. The report states Alexander gave officers consent to search the residence. Officers stated Holden was in the back bedroom — where Breakfield was also sleeping — occupying a bag with pre-cursors to manufacturing methamphetamine. Officers stated they noticed coffee filters and tubing, propane fuel, funnels, cold packs, salt, burners and sandwich bags in the bag. The report states officers also found a pipe used to smoke illegal narcotics, a 2-liter bottle with a tube coming out of it and what appeared to be crystal drain cleaner on the front porch.

Attempted Murder

The UCSO also reported that after responding to a call in Carlisle Saturday evening, a Carlisle man was charged with attempted murder.

— Nicholas Montrae Jeter, 33, of 4937 English Ave., Carlisle, was charged with attempted murder around 12:47 p.m. Dec. 6.

The incident report states officers responded to an address on Brooklyn Ave. in Carlisle in reference to a head injury, and found a man who stated he and Jeter had been arguing over football. The man stated moments later that Jeter walked off and moments later, struck him in the head with an object. The man stated Jeter continued to strike him until he lost consciousness. Deputies collected a lead pipe laying nearby as possibly being the weapon used.

The report states the victim was transported to Union Medical Center, and his injuries consisted of a deep jagged cut across his nose, a smaller cut on the bridge of his nose, a cut above his left eye, and a large amount of swelling to his face. After a preliminary examination, the victim was transported to Spartanburg Regional for treatment.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office also reported the following arrests:

— Frankie Denorris Smith, 51, of 169 Eison Town Road, Jonesville, was charged with breach of peace around 11:30 a.m. Dec. 5.

— Paul David Thomas, 41, of 1208 West Main Street, Union, was charged with furnishing contraband to an inmate around 1:55 p.m. Dec. 6. According to the incident report, Thomas sent a letter containing a strip of Suboxone to an inmate at Union County Jail.

— Angela Danielle Gregory, 30, of 2028 Jonesville Hwy., Union, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and violation of a beginner’s permit around 11:23 p.m. Dec. 3.

— Ricky Andre Lightner, 24, of 200 York Street, Chester, was charged with petit larceny around 6:20 p.m. Dec. 3.

Quadreon Demetrius Jordan, 27, of 567 Pryor Street, Chester, was charged with petit larceny around 6:20 p.m. Dec. 3.

According to the arrest warrant, Lightner and Jordan both attempted to steal items from Belk Distribution Center, at 3805 Furman L. Fendley Hwy., Jonesville, where they were employed. The incident report states Lightner attempted to steal a watch and pair of boots with a total value of $295. The report states Jordan attempted to steal five watches with a total value of $1,115.

— Carrie Elise Faucette, 32, of 116 South 1st Street, Lockhart, was charged with breach of peace around 10:20 a.m. Dec. 3.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:

— Jason Carroll Austin, 41, of 114 Culbreath Heights, Union, was charged with third-degree domestic violence around 11:35 p.m. Dec. 7. According to the arrest warrant, Austin grabbed a woman — with whom he claims to cohabitate — about the neck, put her in a choke hold, and scratched her about the face, causing harm to her neck and face, while at an address on North Church Street in Union.

— Lamarcus Devionne Thompson, 24, of 110 Tiffany Drive, Union, was charged with assault around 2:10 p.m. Dec. 7. According to the arrest warrant, Thompson threatened to shoot his mother during a verbal altercation which took place at their residence.

— Jessica Monique Rice, 26, of 303 North Boyce Street, Union, was charged with two counts of malicious damage to property.

— Dameian Declark Hill, 37, of 204 Hicks Street, Union, was charged with violation of a restraining order around 3:16 a.m. Dec. 6.

— Luther Bernard Pearson Jr., 27, of 103 Westminister Circle, Union, was charged with driving under suspension 3rd around 5:35 p.m. Dec. 6.

— Ronald Eugene Palmer, 43, of 101 Washington Street, Union, was charged with trespassing after notice around 4:10 p.m. Dec. 5.

— Lewis Willie Coleman, 70, of 231 Sandhurst Road, Columbia, was charged with driving under the influence around 1:40 a.m. Dec. 6.
