JONESVILLE — Officers responded to a shooting call Saturday evening, which resulted in an attempted murder charge for a Jonesville man.

Robert Anthony Owens, 25, of 136 Rainbow Lane, Jonesville, was charged with attempted murder around 5:45 p.m. Nov. 21.

According to the incident report, officers responded to a shooting call at an address on Franklin Street in Jonesville, locating a man in a slumped over position who had been shot in the abdomen. The report states EMS arrived and the man was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for his injury, which was a gunshot wound that entered his lower right abdomen and exited the rear upper left hamstring.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office also reported the following arrests:

— Joseph Demetrius Jennings, 31, of 115 Brown Street, Union, was charged with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance around 9:38 p.m. Nov. 23.

— Amanda Haney Bobo, 33, of 117 Haywood Street, Buffalo, was charged with simple assault around 9:03 p.m. Nov. 23. According to the incident report, Bobo assaulted a juvenile while at an address on Flat Drive, Buffalo.

— Steven Laron Harris, 24, of 215 Tate Ave., Union, was charged with driving under suspension 2nd, failure to stop for a blue light, reckless driving, trespassing and resisting arrest around 2:13 p.m. Nov. 23.

— Whitney Quentaria Gist, 17, of 127 Horseshoe Circle, Union, was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest around 2:30 p.m. Nov. 23.

— Jacob Ross Fleming, 18, of 3752 Buffalo West Springs Hwy., Jonesville, was charged with simple possession of marijuana and trespassing around 4:30 p.m. Nov. 23.

— Donyell Byrd, 43, of 8 Hammett Street, Laurens, was charged with third-degree assault and battery around 3 p.m. Nov. 22. According to the incident report, Byrd went to a man and woman’s residence, pulled the woman off her bed by her ankles, and scratched her neck during a scuffle.

— Ashley Brook Turner, 18, of 329 North 1st Street, Lockhart, was charged with open container around 5:45 a.m. Nov. 21.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:

— Jesse Nathaniel Lawson, 27, of 333 Barnado Road, Union, was charged with third-degree criminal domestic violence around 8:16 p.m. Nov. 23. According to the incident report, the victim stated Lawson had punched her and kicked her in the ribs.

— Jessica Monique Rice, 26, of 303 North Boyce Street, Union, was charged with trespass after notice around 10:29 p.m. Nov. 23.

— Melanie Louise Payne, 41, of 307 North Boyce Street, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 3:10 p.m. Nov. 21.

— Donald Wayne Mitchell, 51, of 138 Dill Drive, Union, was charged with driving under suspension around noon Nov. 21.

— Corwin Lamar Hemingway II, of 26, of 158 Lofton Drive, Union, was charged with shoplifting around 11:56 p.m. Nov. 21. According to the arrest warrant, Hemingway took a pack of Swisher Sweets Cigarillos from the counter at Lil Cricket, located at 1237 Arthur Blvd., Union, and exited the store running.

— Treshaun Dante Kelly, 24, of 1612 Pea Ridge Hwy., Jonesville, was charged with criminal domestic violence around 1:30 a.m. Nov. 21. According to the incident report, Kelly punched two women numerous times during an argument which extended over a few hours.

— Dustin Charles Reutter, 24, of 200 Hick Street, Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence around 4:24 a.m. Nov. 22. According to the incident report, Reutter pushed a woman into the railing of a stairway.
