UNION — A Jonesville man was charged with attempted murder, among other charges, on Tuesday.
Brandon Lamont Harris, 28, of 1248 Gaffney Hwy., Jonesville, was charged with attempted murder, two counts of stalking, discharging firearms into a dwelling, second-degree assault and battery, pointing and presenting firearms at a person and violation of probation around 4:15 p.m. Oct. 13.
On Oct. 5, officers were dispatched to
Brittany Manor Apartments, located at 296 Meansville Road, Union, for shots fired. According to the incident report, a woman stated she was sitting in her apartment when she heard a loud pop, and she noticed the glass in her back door was shot with the bullet going through her wall. The report states Harris had called the woman and her daughter multiple times, threatening them throughout the day and the previous day, and the security footage shows a male fitting Harris’ description shooting into the apartment.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Kenneth Shane Burgess, 29, of 5010 Wheitz Street, Spartanburg, was charged with attempting to purchase more than 9 grams of ephedrine in 30 days around 5:25 p.m. Oct. 13.
— Andrew Lee Epps, 30, of 1348 Peach Orchard Road, Union, was charged with forgery around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12. According to the incident report, Epps took three checks from his father’s business checkbook and made them out to himself as payroll checks. The report states the checks totaled $2,588 and were each cashed on Oct. 5.
— James Earl Mobley, 23, of 207 East Henrietta Street, Union, was charged with simple possession of marijuana around 1:04 a.m. Oct. 14.
The Union Public Safety Department also reported the following arrests:
— Ronald Eugene Palmer, 43, of 101 Washington Street, Union, was charged with trespass after notice around 10:29 p.m. Oct. 13.
