Crime Report


The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

— Gary Michael Morgan, 48, of 2670 Peden Ridge Road, Chester, was charged with criminal domestic violence and open container around 8 p.m. Oct. 3.

— Thomas Waynen Blanton, 48, of 111 Corn Street, Union, was charged with breach of peace around 7:15 p.m. Oct. 3.

— Angel Cristo Rey Hernandez-Herrera, 50, of 85 Ruddy Road, Campobello, was charged with driving without a license around 7:20 p.m. Oct. 2.

— Clifford Eugene Hardy, 24, of 720 Lakeside Drive, Union, was charged with simple possession of marijuana around 10 p.m. Oct. 3.

— Tammy Stewart, 55, of 171 Raymond Road, Union, and Teresa Allison Garner, 56, of 216 Raymond Road, Union, were each charged with shoplifting around 12:04 p.m. Oct. 4. According to the incident report, the women each took items from Dollar General, located at 1303 Lockhart Hwy., Union. Stewart had items on her person valued at a total of $54, and Garner had items on her person valued at a total of $24.

— Jeffrery Jerome Hall, 44, of 209 5th Street, Union, was charged with simple possession of marijuana and public drunk around 9:35 p.m. Oct. 4.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:

— Calvin Brown Jr., 44, of 116 Thomas Street, Union, was charged with a noise violation around 10:20 p.m. Oct. 3.

— Stuart Darane Robinson, 51, of 2226 Harper Street, Columbia, was charged with shoplifting around 7:05 p.m. Oct. 2. According to the arrest warrant, Robinson took items from Bi-lo, located at 320 North Duncan Bypass, Union, and exited the store without paying for them on July 1.

— Sierra Danielle Rutledge, 29, of 108 Gold Road, Union, was charged with shoplifting and obtaining money under false pretenses on Sept. 3. According to the arrest warrants, Rutledge took a handbag from Walmart, located at 513 North Duncan Bypass, Union, as well as returned items which she did not purchase to the service desk and received a refund for the items.

— Angela Danielle Gregory, 30, of 2028 Jonesville Hwy., Union, was charged with shoplifting around 9:50 p.m. Oct. 4. According to the incident report, Gregory took several items from Walmart, located at 513 North Duncan Bypass, Union. The report states Gregory concealed a toothbrush holder, lotion dispenser, car tag and DVD under her purse in the shopping cart. The report also states when Gregory got to the register she was unable to pay for a rug and trash can, and the items were then taken to the service desk. The report states Gregory then went to the service desk to get the items, stating she was going to go pay for them, but then exited the store without paying.
