The most recent Business After Hours was held Thursday at the Union County Carnegie Library. Each Business After Hours is sponsored by Chamber members and one of the sponsors for Thursday’s event was Kirby’s Cake Shoppe which also catered it.

UNION — An event held every three months to bring together the members of the Union County Chamber of Commerce and invited guests to promote interactions in a social setting was a success according to the organization’s executive director.

Business After Hours is held four times a year at different locations in Union County with the purpose of bringing together Chamber members and invited guests for two hours of socializing. The goal of the event is provide a forum for those in attendance to interact and get to know one another and to provide one another with deeper understanding of the interests, experiences, and ideas of each other.

The most recent Business After Hours was held Thursday at the Union County Carnegie Library. Each Business After Hours is sponsored Chamber members and Thursday’s event was sponsored by Kirby’s Cake Shoppe, the City of Union, ServiceMaster, and USC Union.

In addition to helping sponsor the event, Kirby’s Cake Shoppe also catered it.

Chamber Executive Director Torance Inman said Friday that Thursday’s Business After Hours was a success.

“It went very well,” Inman said. “We were pleased with the turnout. We were very pleased with the interactions of the guests. We were very pleased with the library which hosted it.”

Inman said that the location and date of the next Business After Hours will be announced at a later date.
