The many gifts of God begin with Jesus Christ

Church Calendar

Charles Warner | The Union Daily Times From God comes everything good, and that includes not only salvation through His Son Jesus Christ, His most important gift to humanity, but also knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. As the Creator of all things, God knows everything about Creation, especially that part of Creation which He made in His own image, the human race. God wants us to learn all that we can in life, starting with learning His Holy Word, The Bible, the foundation of all true knowledge. He wants us also to be wise, something that’s a lot harder to become, but is a status which is definitely within reach of all human beings who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and allow Him to guide them through His teachings in The Bible and through the Holy Spirit which has been with Christians since the time of the Ascension. He also wants us to also have understanding of His will for us and our dependence on Him for all that is good in this life and in the next. That also comes from accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior and living in accordance with His teachings and His continued ministry through the Holy Spirit. Knowledge, wisdom and understanding and, the beginning of it all, salvation, come from God and receiving all these things begins with each of us receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
