The event, which is sponsored by local churches, will feature door prizes, a bouncy house and a slide, hot dogs and hamburgers, snow cones, a car show, face painting, horse rides, gospel singing, and much more.


Summer Snow Open Again

First United Pentecostal Church’s Summer Snow is open once again. It will be open from noon-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday serving up shaved ice sno cones through August. The church is located at 313 Old Buffalo Road.

Summer Snow is a fundraiser for the church with the funds raised used for the church youth, “Sheaves for Christ,” and “Christmas for Christ,” and foreign missions.

Church times at First United Pentecostal Church are Sunday School at noon and Evangelistic Services at 2 p.m. Sunday and Bible Study at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Sunday, Aug. 14

Noon-Until: Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 1622 Kelly Road, Union, will serve Sunday Dinner. The menu includes fried chicken, roast beef, steak & gravy, creamed potatoes, rice & gravy, macaroni pie, green beans, lima beans, slaw, rolls, tea, and dessert. Cost is $8 per person. Maple Ridge Baptist church will be starting their revival on August 14,2016 at 2:15 pm the revivalist for the week is Rev. Kevin Allen of the Mt. Alexander Baptist church in Woodruff S.C. And our revival will run through August 17,2016 with nightly services beginning at 7:00 pm everyone is invited to attend.

Sunday, Aug. 14-Wednesday, Aug. 17

2 p.m. & 6:30 p.m.: Flint Hill Baptist Church, Whitmire Highway, Whitmire, will hold Homecoming and Revival Services.

The Homecoming service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmy Peake of Greater New Zion Baptist Church brining the message.

Revival services will be held Monday-Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. each evening.

Monday’s speaker will be Rev. William Rice of Seekwell Baptist Church.

Tuesday’s speaker will be Rev. Terry Norman of Old Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Wednesday’s speaker will Rev. Stanley Price of St. Paul Baptist Church.

2 p.m. & 7 p.m.: St. Matthew AME Zion Church will have its Annual Homecoming Revival Service.

The Sunday service is at 2 p.m. The Rev. Aundre Miller will be the guest speaker. He is the Pastor of Bethesda AME Zion Church in Winnsboro.

Monday-Wednesday services will be at 7 p.m. each night. The Rev. Sherman McBeth, Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church will be the Revivalist.

The Rev. Raymond Morton of Mt. Hebron Church in Prosperity will spend Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. each evening.

Services continue Monday through Wednesday evenings Aug. 15-17 beginning at 7 p.m. nightly with Rev. James L. Mason, pastor of New Emanuel Chapel Baptist Church, Jonesville, SC and Moderator of the Pacolet River Baptist Association of Union, SC, as our speaker for the week.

2 p.m. & 7:15 p.m.: Woodson Chapel Baptist Church will have their Annual Homecoming and Revival.

Homecoming will be Sunday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Malachi Rodgers, Sr., Pastor of Galilee Baptist Church in Sedalia, will be the speaker.

Revival will be Monday, Aug. 22-Wednesday, Aug 24 at 7:15 p.m. each night. The Rev. Leon Wright, Pastor of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Spartanburg, will be our revivalist.

Come out and listen to the Man of God, Preach the Word of God. You all are welcome!

10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. & 7 p.m.: Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 1622 Kelly Road, Union, will hold Homecoming and Revival.

Homecoming will be Sunday with Sunday School from 10-10:45 a.m. and Worship Service at 11 a.m. Rev. Emily Sutton will bring the message.

There will be a covered dish supper Sunday at 12:30 p.m. following the morning service. Everyone is invited to stay for the fellowship over in the Family Life Building. Please bring a well-filled basket. Tea will be provided.

Sunday Evening Service begins our revival at 7 a.m. Rev. Emily Sutton will bring the message.

Revival will be held Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. each night. The following ministers will bring the message the following evenings:

• Monday — Rev. David Bauknight, Grace United Methodist Church.
