‘Guess The Book Title’ Contest

Courtesy photo What is the name of this book? That’s the question posed by the Union County Carnegie Library’s “Guess The Book Title” Contest. The contest, which is part of the library’s 2016 Adult Summer Reading Program, uses pictures to provide clues to the name of the book in each week’s competition. Piece together the clues to determine the name of the book and then bring your answer to the library. The first 25 people to bring in the correct answer each week will win a small prize. (Limit one person/family.) The deadline for solving this week’s puzzle and getting the correct answer to the library is July 1.


UNION — How good are you at solving puzzles?

The Union County Carnegie Library is holding a “Guess The Book Title” Competition as part of its 2016 Adult Summer Reading Program.

Each week, there will be a puzzle consisting of pictures which will provide clues to the name of a particular book. Look closely at each photograph and try to put what they are showing together to come up with the correct name of the book in each week’s contest.

The first 25 people who come into the library each week with the correct answer will win small prize. (Limit one person/family.)

For this week’s puzzle, the deadline to bring your correct answer is July 1.

Board Meeting

The Board of Trustees of the Library will have a board meeting June 28 at the library from 5-6 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.

Free Lunches

We have free lunches all summer for anyone 18 and under, Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. All are welcome! Children under 12 need adult supervision.

Closed

The Library will be closed Saturday, July 2 and Monday, July 4.

Summer Reading Contest For Adults

Enter a drawing for a chance to win weekly prizes!

Grand Prize Drawing July 20, 2016 from 4-5 p.m. Must be present to win!

Contest Rules: In order of fairness to all readers it has been decided that starting June 1, 2015 Grand Prize winners of the previous year are not eligible to enter the Grand Prize drawing.

Each participant will be eligible to enter one entry from in the Grand Prize drawing.

Read or listen to any book of your choice through June 6-July 18, 2016.

Drawing will be held once a week Wednesday until July 20, 2016.

Write the book title, name of the author and a comment of what you think of the book.

Return your entry form to the Carnegie library no later than 12 p.m. July 18, 2016.

No entry forms will be taken after 12 p.m. July 18, 2016.

Every time you read another book and submit an entry you get another chance to win weekly prizes.

(You must be 18 years or older to participate.)

What should I read? Participants can read whatever books interest them. Audio books count too!

Other Adult Summer Reading Contests

— Movies: Check out a movie and see if it’s a Winner! You’ll receive a 2 liter drink, popcorn, and a movie review form to fill out.

— ASR challenges: Win small prize — Look for the puzzle in the newspaper. Identify the book and the first 25 to come into the library with the correct answer wins a prize.
