UNION — A member of the Union County High School Class of 2016 who spent the last three years on the high school’s track and field team will be running for Voorhees College beginning this August.
Devin McNeil signed his letter of intent to attend Voorhees College and run for its Track and Field Team in a signing ceremony in the UCHS library attended by family and friends Monday afternoon.
Voorhees College Track and Field Coach Jeffrey Hughes was among those attending the ceremony. He said that as a member of the college team McNeil will be running the 100 Meter and possibly the 200 Meter and 4×100 Meter Relay.
As a member of the UCHS Track and Field Team for the past three years, McNeil ran the 100 Meter and the 4×100 Meter Relay.
McNeil, the son of James and Sheila McNeil, said he decided on Voorhees College because it is “close to home.”
Classes at Voorhees begin Aug. 10.
