USC Union Activity Fun Camp
USC Union will hold its annual Activity Fun Camp from June 13-17.
The camp, which will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day, will provide children ages 7-11 years of age the opportunity to do the following:
• Learn science and lab techniques.
• Learn CSI techniques such as fingerprinting, foot print casting, evidence collection, DNA extraction.
• Games and team activities daily
The camp cost $80 per child with lunch, snacks, activity costs, and drinks all included.

Special Union County Council Meeting
The Union County Council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, June 8, at 3 p.m. in the Grand Jury Room at the Union County Courthouse to consider a resolution on the lease for the truck for the Buffalo Fire District, consider a recommendation from public works on equipment purchases, consider a resolution on community fireworks displays, discuss budget, and hold an executive session to discuss personnel matters. The public is invited to attend..
Jonesville Town Festival
The Jonesville Town Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 from noon-9 p.m. We are looking for vendors, musical groups, dance groups and singers. Free Summer Lunch And Activities Program
The Town of Carlisle will be offering a Summer Lunch & Activities Program including a field trip and swimming for children ages 18 and under in June and July.
The program will be held at the Carlisle Town Hall from June 8-July 28, Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

2016 Camp of Clay — This camp is open for all 6th-12th graders! Teacher Katie Paschal will bring out your child’s inner artist through the world of clay!
9th-12th Grade will be 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
6th-8th Grade will be 1-3 p.m.

Upstate Small Ruminant Workshop
Carolina Savanna Farms, 2962 Union Hwy in Gaffney, will be hosting the Upstate Small Ruminant Workshop on June 10 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The cost is $40, which includes lunch, refreshments, a flash drive, and a pesticide credit.
This workshop is beneficial to novice and veteran goat and sheep producers. Several Clemson Extension agents will discuss topics such as: Forages, Evaluation and Selection for Meat Goats, Health, Nutrition, and Marketing. There will be many hands-on demonstrations and an opportunity to try BBQ goat.

Post 22 To Improve 2016 Baseball Team
Union American Legion Post 22 is currently working on much-needed improvements for their 2016 baseball team. Legion Post 22 is currently looking for enthused volunteers to help carry the proud tradition of American Legion baseball forward in Union County. If you love baseball and working with teenagers, or just like helping out in your community, and are able to contribute in any way at all, please consider volunteering. There are many ways to contribute your time, from being one of the coaches for the regular or junior teams, to just helping out for a few hours at a time.
