Area students make CCU Dean’s List

Among nearly 2,000 recognized for spring 2016

CONWAY — Two area students are among the approximately 1,940 students who made the Spring Semester 2016 Dean’s List for academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average. To qualify for the President’s List, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average. All students must be enrolled full time.

Those who made the Dean’s List are:

• Ashton Rider, a senior majoring in management, of Pacolet.

• Alex Simmons, a senior majoring in intelligence and national security studies, of Enoree.

Coastal Carolina University is a dynamic, public comprehensive liberal arts institution located in Conway, just minutes from the resort area of Myrtle Beach, S.C. The University offers 70 areas of study toward the baccalaureate degree, and 17 master’s degree programs, plus two educational specialist degrees.
