Saturday, May 21

7:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: The Men of Corinth Baptist Church will have a Fish Fry for their Men Day celebration.

They will be serving breakfast and lunch from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. The menu will include hot fish and grits plates, fish plates, sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.

The Fish Fry will be held at the Union County Stadium over by the wall.

Please come get your breakfast and lunch.

4-7 p.m.: Dominion Church International/Union, 708 S. Duncan Bypass, Suite C, will host Community Movie Night. There will be free admission and free snacks. Door prizes will be given. 2 p.m.: Woodson Chapel Baptist Church will have their Annual Pack the Pew Program. Rev. Elijah Wray, Pastor of Wyatt’s Chapel Baptist Church in Buffalo, will be the speaker. The public is invited. If you cannot attend, we solicit your prayers. Rev. Robert E. Collins, Pastor.

To God be the Glory

2 p.m.: The Voices of Faith Gospel Choir will celebrate their anniversary at the Bethesda Baptist Church in Santuc. Please note that there will not be a Saturday night program this year — only Sunday.

There will be many fine groups on program. The public is invited.

2 p.m.: The Missionary Auxiliary of St. Luke Baptist Church, 718 Lukesville Road, Buffalo, will hold Women’s Day Service. The Guest Messenger will be Minister Jackie Peake-Thompson, Shiloh Baptist Church, Pauline. The theme will be “This Means War.”

Dinner will be served immediately following the service.

Come let us worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness.

2:30 p.m.: The New Hope AME Zion Church Male Chorus will celebrate their 38th anniversary.

3-6 p.m.: Browns Creek Baptist Church, located on the corner of Browns Creek Church Road and Highway 49, would like to invite the community to join us for a Spring Festival. There will be music by Shon Morris and Matthew Abee, games for kids to include a water balloon toss and slip n slide, Bounce Castle, face paint, a cake walk for adults, door prizes, hotdogs, snow cones, popcorn and much more. Everything is FREE.

Saturday, June 4

10 a.m.: The McBeth Baptist’s Aide Ministry is sponsoring a Chinese Auction. The Chinese Auction will be held in the church parking lot at 105 Lawson Avenue, Union. The tickets will drop at 10 a.m. and the drawing will be at noon.

11 a.m.: Corinth Baptist Church holds a Lemonade Fundraiser for the Church Youth. The fundraiser will be held at the future home of the Corinth Baptist Church Park next to Corinth Baptist Church on North Herndon Street. Deacon and Mrs. Dennis Ferguson are Directors of Youth. Rev. Sunday, June 12

2:30 p.m.: Paradise AME Church will hold Family & Friends Day. Guest speaker will be Rev. Juanita Giles. Rev. Patricia Glenn, Pastor.
