UNION COUNTY — Back-to-back Independence Day celebrations begin today in Union County.

The Party at the Pond

The Buffalo community’s annual Independence Day celebration — The Party at the Pond — will begin at 6 p.m. tonight (Friday, July 3) at the Buffalo Mill Pond. The event will include music and vendors, and it will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display over the pond at dark.

Light Up the Lake

Union’s annual Independence Day celebration — Light Up the Lake — will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 4, at Foster Park. The event promises plenty of food, music and fellowship. Live music will be performed by Jukebox 45 from 7-9 p.m., and the evening will close with a fireworks spectacular to light up Foster Park Lake. The park will close at 4 p.m. for vendor set up.
