UNION — With the help of their parents some students at Foster Park Elementary School recently made a donation to help with the care of the dogs at the Union County Animal Shelter.

Mrs. Prince’s second grade class gave back to their community recently by sponsoring a school-wide pet supply drive to benefit the shelter. Students created posters, read stories about stray animals, wrote paragraphs encouraging other students to donate to the drive, and read their paragraphs on the morning announcements as a way to spread the word about animals in need at the animal shelter.

As a result of their hard work, Mrs. Prince’s class had over $400 worth of pet supplies donated by the students at Foster Park Elementary School and their parents! Foster Park is proud of how our Eagles think about others and care about the well-being of their community!
