MONARCH — An annual tradition continued Thursday as the Union Civitan Club served up breakfast, lunch, and dinner to diners with a taste for pancakes during Pancake Day.

Civitans were busy throughout Thursday cooking in the kitchen of the Mon Aetna Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, making sausage, bacon, and, of course, pancakes. These were served up at breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with coffee, juice, and milk to hungry diners looking to enjoy a community tradition and the good food that comes with it, all for a good cause.

Pancake Day is an annual fundraiser of the club which uses the funds raised along with funds from other fundraising events to support a number of local programs including the Special Olympics and developmental disabilities.
