Closed for the Fourth of July

The library is one of a number of local agencies and institutions that will be closed in honor of the Fourth of July which falls on this Saturday.

UNION COUNTY — Local governments, post offices, banks, educational institutions, and the public library will be closed from one to two days in honor of the Fourth of July which falls on this Saturday.

Local Governments

Union County and the City of Union will be closed Friday while the Town of Jonesville will be closed Monday and the towns of Carlisle and Lockhart will be closed Friday and Monday.

Banks

Arthur State Bank and Park Sterling Bank will both be closed Saturday.

Post Offices

The Union, Jonesville, Buffalo, Carlisle, and Lockhart post offices will be closed Saturday.

Education Institutions

The Union County School District will be closed Thursday (today) and Friday while USC Union will be closed Friday.

Library

The Union County Carnegie Library will be closed Friday and Saturday.

The Union Daily Times

The Friday edition of The Union Daily Times will be a combined paper for Friday and Saturday. Subscribers will not receive a paper on Saturday.

The Union Daily Times will be closed on Friday. Our offices will reopen on Monday at 8:30 a.m.

Normal delivery will resume for the Tuesday edition.
