BUFFALO — Some local students got to see a little bit of their community’s past during a field trip to Columbia recently.

The students of Stephanie Wicker’s 3rd grade class at Buffalo Elementary School recent traveled to the State Museum in Columbia.

While there, the students got to see things from South Carolina’s past and the pasts of its constituent communities.

One of those communities is the Buffalo Community here in Union County and the students were given a glimpse into that past via a model of the Buffalo Mill Village on display at the State Museum.
