UNION COUNTY — The Union County tennis team fell to Lancaster in a final score of 4-2.

The results were as follows:

Grant Harris (UC) lost to Isaac Thomas 4-6, 6-1 (8-10)

Ben Stone (UC) lost to Conner Palmeri 4-6, 1-6

Jack James (UC) lost to Avery Hinkle 1-6, 6-4 (3-10)

Hayden Meadows (UC) defeated Kyle Baker 6-3, 7-5

Caleb Vanderford (UC) defeated Zach Onisick 7-5, 6-4

Holden Parks and Michael Purdie (UC) lost to Connor Parmon and Donovan Pate 6-7, 6-2 (11-9)

“Even though we lost 4-2, three of those losses went into tiebreakers, so those could have gone either way,” said Coach Seth Whitehead. “In all three matches with tiebreakers, we were the ones losing the first set and coming back to win the second, so it was good to continue to see that these boys don’t quit.”
