UNION — It was an evening of entertainment and recognition during the Union Rotary Club’s Spouses Night this past Tuesday.

Spouses Night is a special event of the club that provides Rotarians and their spouses with an evening out.

This year’s Spouses Night was held at Veteran’s Lodge and featured a social hour and dinner with entertainment provided by Jukebox 45.

In addition to giving Rotarians and their spouses an evening out, Spouses Night was also a time of recognition.

Four Rotarians were recognized as new member sponsors and another four recognized as Paul Harris Fellows.

New member sponsors are Rotarians who recruit a new club member. Honored as new member sponsors were Rotarians Annie Smith, Lynn Mornane, Lewis Jeter, and Glenn Ivey.

The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges Rotarians who contribute or have made contributions in their name of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Honored for achieving the status of Paul Harris Fellows were Rotarians Freddie Gault and Annie Smith.

Recognized as Paul Harris Fellow Plus for making contributions exceeding $1,000 were Rotarians Dr. Tal Wilkins (over $3,000), Lewis Jeter (over $2,000), Bill Graham (over $3,000), and Charles “Buddy” Smith (over $4,000).
