MONARCH — A playground for physically challenged children and adults is a step closer to being built thanks to a donation from Monarch Elementary School.

In a statement released earlier this month, the school announced that its students and staff had made a contribution the Miracle League. It stated that the funds are to be used to help pay for the construction of a new playground that will be built at the Timken Sports Center.

The all-inclusive playground will be designed to enable anyone to play including children and adults with physical disabilities such as multiple sclerosis, injured veterans, seniors with physical challenges, and children with Autism.

Anyone who would like to support the Miracle League’s efforts to build the park may call 864-466-7879, contact a board member, or visit The Miracle League of Union County Facebook page or website at www.themiracleleagueofunioncounty.org.
