UNION — Monarch Elementary School was transformed into a senior citizen’s center recently when both teachers and students dressed up like they were 100 years old in celebration of the 100th day of the school year.

Canes and stooped frames were very much the order of the day along with granny dresses, bathrobes, gray hair and many other signs of a century of living worn by both teachers and students.

Everyone had fun attending and teaching classes while pretending to be old enough to have been around for much of the history of the 20th century.
