Resolve to talk to God each and every day

Church Calendar

Charles Warner | The Union Daily Times We all make resolutions at the beginning of each new year and sometimes we even manage to keep them for a week or two. One resolution we should all make and keep is to talk to God each day of the week and be in His House each day it is open. It’s not that hard, all it takes is taking a few minutes each day to turn to God in prayer. The benefits of this are enormous as those who do so find that they can lay all their burdens down before God. By doing, they find that the burdens they are carrying, no matter how heavy they may be, are made lighter because God is helping carry them. In fact, God often carries those whose burdens become too heavy for them to carry. Also, being in God’s house each time the doors are open brings you into communion with fellow believers who also talk to God each and every day. It is in this communion of believers that we find additional strength and support from those who, like us, place their trust in God. So resolve to speak to God each and every day and to be in His house when the doors are open and follow through on that resolution and experience the joy that comes from a closer walk with God.
