It is based on the English tradition of decorating the home with wreaths, garlands, a Christmas tree and evergreens for Advent and Christmas. In a church setting, it readies the sanctuary (and church members) for the season. It prepares us for the advent, the coming of the Christ Child. Please come expecting to receive a blessing for the Lord and experience the true meaning of Christmas.

All things come from God and because all things come from God we should always give thanks to Him for the things that He gives us. All creation comes from God from the universe itself to the atoms it is composed of and everything in between including humans. Thanksgiving Day was yesterday but we should not confine our giving thanks to God to just one day of the year, but gives thanks to Him each and every day of the year for all that He has done for us from the creation of all things to the gift of our lives to, most importantly of all, the gift of His son, Jesus Christ, as the sacrifice for the atonement of and the forgiveness of our sins that created the path to salvation that comes from our accepting Him as our Lord and Savior. So give thanks to God for all things and make each and every day a time of thanksgiving.
