Two Thanksgiving traditions

CARLISLE — Two Thanksgiving traditions of the Carlisle community will continue this Thursday at the the town hall and at a local church.

Food is a big part of Thanksgiving and in the Town of Carlisle this is especially true as residents of the community are, as in previous years, invited to attend both a community breakfast and a community dinner.

On Thanksgiving morning, the Mobley Family will host their 13th Annual Thanksgiving Community Breakfast from 8-10 a.m. at the Carlisle Town Hall, 3911 Fish Dam Avenue.

The good food continues later that morning at Carlisle Christian Fellowship, 4513 King Kennedy Highway, which will be serving their annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Mayor Mary Ferguson-Glenn said that all residents of the Carlisle community are invited to attend both events.

“It is open to the entire community,” Ferguson-Glenn said Tuesday morning. “Anyone who is in need or just wants to come and fellowship are welcome.”
