NSDAR holds October meeting


Christmas Luncheon will be Dec. 1

UNION — The Fair Forest Chapter, NSDAR, met Oct. 6 in Grace United Methodist Church.

Guest speaker, Lisa Cook, who lives in Marian, N. C., has been a member of DAR for 32 years. Mrs. Cook presented an interesting and informative program, “Membership Comes with Responsibility.”

Throughout 2015 the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution has been celebrating 125 years of service to America. The DAR was founded on Oct 11, 1890 to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism. The South Carolina DAR has been a member of the national society for 124 years. The Fair Forest Chapter was organized May 4, 1915.

The next meeting will be the Christmas Luncheon, on Dec. 1, at Andy’s Restaurant.
