Christianity is faith plus works which produces more faith and works

Charles Warner | The Union Daily Times Words, particularly those that express a person’s faith in and acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, must be matched with actions that demonstrate for all to see that Jesus truly is their Lord and Savior and has changed their lives for the better. The truth is that words, no matter how eloquent, wise, and profound they may be, are just so much hot air unless they are accompanied by actions which demonstrate that the speaker truly believes what they are saying and tries to live their life according to those words and their meaning. A Christian who speaks of his or her faith and yet does not live according to it is paying only lip service to the spiritual, moral, and ethical truths of Christianity and can cause others to turn away and miss out on the life-changing salvation that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Christianity is faith that produces works that in turn reinforces and strengthens the faith of the Christian who is in turn moved to more and event greater works of faith. It changes lives, saves souls, and makes the world a happier, kinder, more compassionate, more decent, better, and, yes, freer place for all who embrace it.
