JONESVILLE — The Jonesville Wildcats were shut out by Blacksburg in a final score of 8-0.

Coach Jay Voiselle said his team took their opening drive down to the 4-yard line but could not punch it in, and in return, Blacksburg capitalized off of a 96-yard drive. Voiselle also said Blacksburg recovered two onside kicks during the game which was played through heavy rains the entire game.

“The weather is no excuse,” Voiselle said. “We knew the weather was going to be like this. Good job, Blacksburg.”

Jonesville hosts Landrum at 5 p.m. next Thursday, with a Homecoming celebration at halftime. The 8th grade football players will be honored during pre-game at 4:30 p.m.
