UNION — The third and final concert of 2015 Downtown Union Music Month Downtown Union series will be held this Thursday at 7 p.m. and the pubic is again invited to attend and enjoy.
Also called the September Nights Downtown Music Fest, the concert series has presented the people of Union County with the opportunity to enjoy three free concerts in downtown Union.
The series got under way Sept. 3 with “A Night With Carl,” a concert by singer/musician Carl Brunson.
It continued Sept. 17 with a concert by “The Weatherman Band” whose members include Union native and WSPA 7 Channel 7 “Caring for the Carolinas” host Jack Roper as well as several other local residents.
The series comes to its conclusion this Thursday with a concert by the Carolina Rhythm Band from 7-9 p.m.
Like Carl Brunson and The Weatherman Band, the Carolina Rhythm Band has previously performed in Union and is returning by popular demand.
The Carolina Rhythm Band performs a mixture of both current and older hit songs and will do so again during its concert Thursday evening on Herndon Street between the Union County Courthouse and the Union County School District Office Building.
