UNION — Bringing together adults looking for educational opportunities and resources with the colleges, universities and other organizations that can provide them will be the goal of “College Day” at the Union County Carnegie Library on Tuesday, April 25.
Sponsored by the library and Union County Adult Education, College Day will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. During those two hours, adults interested in continuing or resuming their educations and/or pursuing new educational opportunities will be able to meet with representatives of the following organizations that can help them do that:
• SC National Guard
• Alliance Tractor Trailer
• SC Vocational Rehab
• Union County Adult Education
• Kenneth Shuler Beauty School
• Limestone College
• USC Union
• Spartanburg Community College Union
Library Director Rieta Drinkwine said Tuesday that College Day is open to adults seeking educational opportunities.
“This is for adults looking to further their education,” Drinkwine said. “It’s for people who are looking for additional certification, who are looking for college degrees.”
The event is also open to high school graduates, soon-to-be-graduates, and even non-graduates
“It’s for those who who did not complete high school,” Drinkwine said. “It is also for recent high school graduates and those about to graduate.”
Light refreshments will be provided during the event.
