UNION — Chronic health conditions and how to manage them will be the focus of a “Community Health Day Event” Monday afternoon at the Union Walmart.
Sponsored by BlueChoice HealthPlan of South Carolina Medicaid in partnership with Walmart, the event will be held from 3-6 p.m.
The theme of the event is “Take Control” and a leaflet publicizing it states that the purpose Community Health Day is to educated the public on “how to manage chronic health conditions. Find out how you can prevent or take control of chronic diseases.”
The event will provide the public with health screenings, health tips, community resource information and information about the services provided by BlueChoice HealthPlan of South Carolina Medicaid. There will also be giveaways and popcorn for those attending.
The leaflet states that there is no cost to attend the event.
