Wednesday, Aug. 13

7 p.m.: Saint Matthew AME Zion Church, 499 Maybinton Road, Whitmire, holds its Annual Revival Service. The service continues this evening at 7 p.m. Rev. Eric Rice is the guest speaker. Rev. J.B. Robinson is the pastor. The public is invited to attend. Special welcome to the Glenn, Tucker, Windbush Family Reunion.

7 p.m.: New Hope AME Zion Church in the Sedalia Community holds revival. The revival continues this evening at 7 p.m. Rev. Ronnie McCrorey, pastor.

7 p.m.: Maple Ridge Baptist Church invites you to our Annual Revival Services. The services continue this evening at 7 p.m.

7 p.m.: Bethel Baptist Church holds it Annual Homecoming and Revival Services this evening at 7 p.m. with Bishop Joseph K. Stringfellow of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church of Chester as the revivalist for the week. Rev. James E. Tillotson, Pastor.

Wednesday, Aug. 13-Friday, Aug. 15

7 p.m.: Chambertown Community Lighthouse, 413 South Mountain St., Union, holds revival. Services will be held 7 p.m. through Friday. Wednesday’s speaker will be Pastor Troy McDowell of Chesnee, SC. Thursday’s speaker will be Apostle Chris Chaney of Chattanooga, TN. Friday’s speaker will be Apostle Catherine Burks of Memphis, TN. Pastor Tyra Parham invites all to come.

Friday, Aug. 15

5 p.m.: Covenant Baptist Church holds a Chinese Auction to help raise money for a mission trip to Haiti. Hot dog plates will also be for sale.

Saturday, Aug. 16

10 a.m.: Mitchell Chapel Christian Church, 381 Kelly Road, Union, hosts the Youth ROC (Reaching Our Children) Summit. The purpose of the summit is SING! (Save, Impact, Nurture, and Guide) children into a safe and productive future through empowerment. Participating in the summit will be Marcus Porter with the Union County School District who will address the issue of education; Dr. Natashia Jeter, MD, CHA-Union OB/GYN who will address health topics; Sgt. Lolita Fourney of the Chester City Police Department who will address the issue of Cyber Bullying; and Sgt. Ricky Sanders of the Chester City Police Department who will address the issues of drugs and gangs.

Sunday, Aug. 17-Wednesday, Aug. 20

10:15 a.m., 2 p.m., & 7:15 p.m.: Woodson Chapel Baptist Church observes their annual Homecoming and Revival. The Sunday meeting service will be at 10:15 a.m. with Pastor Collins. Homecoming at 2 p.m. with Rev. Leon Wright, Pastor of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church as the guest preacher. Revival is Monday-Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. each evening. Rev. Michael A. 2 p.m. & 7 p.m.: The Bethesda Baptist Church, Santuck Community, opens their annual revival on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Elijah Sutton, Pastor of Thomas Chapel AME Church and congregation of Santuck. Monday-Thursday night services will begin at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Bridges, Pastor of Concord Baptist Church, Gaffney. Rev. Roderick Olgesby, Pastor.

Friday, Aug. 22-Sunday, Aug. 24

6:30 p.m. & 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. & 10:30 a.m.: Fountain of Life Baptist Church, Spartanburg, holds a Women’s Conference entitled “No More Hitting Faces.” On Friday and Saturday there will be a workshop. Guest Facilitator is Elder Teon Mayweather of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in College Park, Ga. On Sunday at 10:30 a.m. First Lady Timena Sarratt will be the speaker for that day.

Saturday, Aug. 23

10 a.m.: Corinth Baptist Church, 302 N. Herndon St., Union holds a Community Prayer followed by a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. The theme is “Wedding In Paradise.” There will be a “Dressing Of The Tables” with a $10 donation required. The chairpersons for the event are Angela T. Robinson, Harriet S. White, and Rosalyn Ferguson. Rev. J.A. Calhoun, Pastor.

Sunday, Aug. 24

Herndon St., Union hosts a “Women’s Day Celebration.” The theme will be “Consecrated Women Doing The Work Of The Church.” The speaker will be Minister Tonya Beaty of Monk’s Grove Baptist Church, Spartanburg. Sunday, Sept. 14,

11 a.m.: Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church recognizes Masons and Shriners during the morning service. All visitors are invited to attend.

Sunday, Nov. 2

4 p.m.: The Male Choir of Friendship Baptist Church, 250 Morning Drive, Spartanburg, presents a Fall Gospel Concert. The public is invited. Rev. Michael A. Glenn, Pastor.
