Wofford College confers degrees to 360 graduates

SPARTANBURG — Dr. Nayef H. Samhat delivered his first commencement address since becoming Wofford College’s president at the 160th Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Degrees were conferred to about 360 graduates. Samhat became president in July 2013 and his inauguration was held April 25 of this year.


Farrah Deanne Garner received a bachelor of arts degree in environmental studies with a minor in philosophy. Garner is from Union, SC. Parent(s)/Guardian(s): Carroll Dean Garner.


Marcelo Javier Ramirez received a bachelor of science degree in biology with a minor in economics. Ramirez is from Enoree, SC. Parent(s)/Guardian(s): Marcelo and Catalina Ramirez.


Jordan Daniel West received a bachelor of arts degree in finance. West is from Pauline, SC. Parent(s)/Guardian(s): Daniel West.


Shaquana Brequesha West received a bachelor of science degree in biology. West is from Enoree, SC. Parent(s)/Guardian(s): Bregina Sexton.
