Shots fired in home invasion; no one injured

A man allegedly barged into a home and fired off gunshots in an attempt to steal some cash from the household Tuesday night in LaGrange.


According to a police report, at about 6:55 pm, officers from the LaGrange Police Department responded to the area of 4 Barry Avenue in reference to a possible home invasion with shots fired.


Officers arrived at the scene and spoke with the victims, Nico Holloway,19, of LaGrange and Jerry Smith, 21, of West Point.


According to the report, Smith and Holloway claimed that an unknown male between the ages of 20 and 25 wearing a brown ski mask allegedly came into the home demanding money.


The two victitms stated they fled from the residence at which time the unknown male allegedly began firing a handgun.


No one was injured and nothing of value was taken.


The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, approximately 20 to 25 years of age, tall and slim, wearing a brown ski mask and carrying a small caliber handgun.
