USDA FOREST SERVICE The Francis Marion and Sumter National Forests (FM&S)in South Carolina will soon advertise for two Forestry Technicians on theEnoree Ranger District located in Whitmire, SC. These positions are full-time federal government jobs. Incumbent perform a variety of routine and frequently complex tasks involving techniques and practices relating to natural resources management programs, (i.e. timber/silviculture, recreation, soil and water, wildlife, range and fire/fuels management). Duties include intensive manual labor as well as the operation of farm tractors, various implements and other heavy equipment. Incumbent must possess, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Deputy TreasurerOffice of the Union County TreasurerSalary Range $28,247.91 $33,747.83 Union County is currently seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Treasurer. The Deputy Treasurer is responsible for all operations in the County Treasurer’s Office in the absence of the Treasurer. This is a very detailed oriented position and requires exceptional organizational skills; as well as the ability to analyze, prepare and reconcile various reports with extreme accuracy on a local, state and federal level. Must handle all general office duties such as answering of phones, accepting and posting tax payments, making copies and helping the general public as well as attorneys, paralegals, and real estate professionals with various tax and property related task. Requires collections and disbursement of all tax payments, fees, fines and assessments from various offices including the Clerk of Court and Magistrate’s Court. Must collect, reconcile and disburse funds to the Union County School District as well.An applicant with an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting is desired, but a combination of education and work related experience will be considered. A candidate with banking or some type of financial background is preferred. This position requires many other duties and task that will be discussed during interviews.
