The job offered is for an experienced farmworker and requires minimum 1 month verifiable work experience in the crop activities listed. The minimum offered wage rate that workers will be paid is $9.87 per hour. Workers must commit to work the entire contract period. Workers are guaranteed work for 3/4 of the contract period, beginning with the first day the worker arrives at the place of employment. All work tools, supplies and equipment are provided at no cost to the worker. City of Union Water Meter Change Out Program: The City of Union has contracted with a company, Matchpoint, Inc., to replace and install water meters in certain areas of the City’s system beginning January 6, 2014. Their employees and vehicles will be identified by their logo. Once they begin to change out meters, they will knock on your door to let you know what they are doing. If you are not home, they will leave a door hanger. This process should only take a few minutes. If you have any questions, please contact the City of Union Utility Department at 429-1717.
