PUBLIC NOTICETOWN OF CARLISLEGENERAL ELECTION The Union County Election Commission announces the General Election for the Town of Carlisle to be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014, to elect two (2) Council Members. The election will be an at large non-partisan plurality election. The two candidates seeking the Office of Council receiving the highest number of votes is declared elected for a term of four (4) years.To qualify for this office, one must be a resident within the Town limits, must be eighteen (18) years or older and a qualified elector of the Town of Carlisle.The manner of filing shall be by statement of candidacy. Statement of Candidacy may be filed at the Carlisle Town Hall beginning at 8:00 a.m. on July 15, 2014, until noon on August 15, 2014.
