The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Lewis Richard Lloyd, Jr., 25, of 209 E. Henrietta St., Union, was charged with assault and battery around 7:20 p.m. Sept. 10. According to the arrest warrant, Lloyd punched a man in the face — causing the man’s left eye to swell — while at Kangaroo Express, located at 908 South Duncan Bypass, Union, on Sept. 7.
— Randi Leigh Gregory, 25, of 609 Happy Valley Road, Union, was charged with shoplifting around 4 a.m. Sept. 11. According to the incident report, Gregory took $204.20 worth of grocery items — $60.19 of which could not be returned — from Bi-Lo, located at 323 North Duncan Bypass, Union.
— Samuel Bernard Smith, 48, of 311 Columbus St., Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 5:10 p.m. Sept. 10.
— Linda Kay Johnson, 54, of 115 Wedgewood Court, Union, was charged with simple assault and trespassing around 11:10 a.m. Sept. 10. According to the incident report, Johnson went back to a house for which she was already on trespass notice immediately after being released from jail for trespassing. As Johnson was being escorted from the property, she spit on a man standing on the porch.
— Charles Nathan Crosby, 55, of 111 Lybrand St., Union, was charged with trespassing around 5:30 p.m. Sept. 10.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Dillard Road, Enoree, reported on Sept. 10 that his home was burglarized between 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Items missing included a black Glock 33 .357 pistol valued at $600 and a Browning Gold Hunter 12 gauge shotgun valued at $200. The case was given to investigations.
— The owner of a property on Walnut Street, Union, reported on Sept. 10 that a metal fireplace insert had been taken from a storage building on his property. The insert is valued at $150. The complainant stated the lock was cut off the building door. A report was sent to investigations.
